Following the results of the Leaders training survey, we are proud to announce, a joint inter-faith training weekend with leaders from the Church Lads and Church Girls Brigade (CL&CGB).  This is something that was answered very positively in the original questionnaire and in a survey conducted by the CL&CGB.

Over the last few months we have been working closely with CL&CGB to find the right programme to run over this weekend. Although both the JLGB and CL&CGB are faith based organisations we share more commonalities than difference.  This weekend is a chance to learn from each other, share ideas, discuss success stories & challenges that unite us all when working  to help develop young people.

Spaces are limited to 30 leaders from each organisation and applications are open to anyone above the rank of JL (after 1st Sept 2011).

Provisional joint Interfaith Leaders Weekend programme to include:

  • Understanding Diversity in Society
  • Understanding how Children Learn
  • Sharing programme planning, resources and ideas
  • Understanding each other's Religion
  • Big Society (Citizenship, volunteering and social action)
  • Recruitment and image
  • Guest speakers

Subject to change and more detail TBC

Applications are now live where you can apply online at www.jlgb.org/apply

*You will need to make your own transport arrangements, and we recommend carpooling as this is the most cost effective way to get all leaders to the Campsite.  We will publish a list of those attending nearer the event time to help match people with cars.
