Did you know..... Awards in the Brigade?

Did you know that the Brigade has an Award Policy?

The brigade is full of unsung heroes, who deserve recognition.

We should all be thinking of how these heroes can be rewarded, but mostly we are all too busy to stop and think about it.

However, this can be done through one of NHQ’s Special Awards as below:

  • Fortitude Award
  • Gallant Conduct Award
  • Christian Service Award
  • Governor’s Commendation for Meritorious Service
  • Exemplary Service Medal
  • Brigade Cross
  • Queen’s Honours (BEM, MBE, OBE etc)

More information and the nomination form can be found here:  pdf Awards Policy September 2021 (388 KB)

Remembrance Day Interviews

As we are all aware, we have just passed Remembrance Sunday. The CLCGB had representation in Whitehall, London for the Cenotaph Parade from St. Lawrence & St. Paul's, Longridge; St. James's, Brightlingsea; St. John the Baptist, Hugglescote; and St. Aidan's, Framwellgate. Governor Andrew Hayday, Deputy Governor Martyn Bedder, and Fundraiser James Elliott were also in attendance. National Co-ordinator Perry Gunn from NHQ also attended as an invited guest from St. Lawrence & St Paul's, Longridge, who he would like to thank. We also had a “Star of the Weekend” in Eliza, a JTC Member who volunteered to be interviewed by the Media! This was not just a quick chat with a couple of questions, but three separate television interviews (some live) with Sky News, ITV News, and GB News. Eliza was magnificent and, without rehearsal, was confident, clear and her answers were perfect. Eliza certainly made Longridge Company very proud, along with all of The CLCGB and, of course, her family. Thank you Eliza.

With thanks to ITV News, Sky News, GB News, and the Royal British Legion for their time, and for the images.
