“It feels nice to be part of a group who help each other and are friendly. It makes me feel special.”

Maddison, aged 10.

What do the clergy think?

“I have been involved with CLCGB since 1969 and have seen how precious it was and what a difference it made in my Parish, All Saints & Martyrs Langley, which had a huge Company. It brings what young people need to young people, it gives them friendship, it gives them fellowship and fun."

Bishop Jack Nichols

font size

Young Leaders logoFollowing on from the introduction of our Young Leaders Training Programme by Manchester Regimental last year and the acquisition of funding Nationally, this years course is now open to all Young Leaders. Your leaders would like to invite you to take part in this years programme. It will start in October and is aimed at providing you as a Brigade leader in the 16 to 25 age group with an opportunity for self development and a chance to form a lasting bond with other similar minded Young Leaders. The 12 months activities will include:

  • training, and guided learning.
  • sporting activities and
  • fun/social activities.

Those who attended the 2013/14 course have all endorsed what we have done this year and recommend it to you, Some of the sessions will be focused on ideas you provide, we the Training Staff will in return facilitate the activities and provide guidance and mentoring, We hope everyone in the Brigade who is eligible will take part and be backed by their Company Officers.

You are required to commit to the whole years activities in order for the funding to be available but we accept that some dates will not be possible for everyone and will endeavour to provide chances to catch up later. The end product will be that you will receive your Certificate of Leadership and will be able to undertake a much more involved role in Company and maybe, formation activities.

The dates are:

Weekend 4th & 5th October

Saturday 1st November

Saturday 13th December

Weekend 17th & 18th January

Saturday 28th February
