Announcement: New Governor Appointed
I do hope you are all keeping safe during these very uncertain and often stressful times; particularly so when we begin to move towards a ‘new normal’!
I have written to all members to advise them that I have been appointed as the new Governor of the National CLCGB, in place of Liz Butterfield. She is stepping down from this position with immediate effect for health reasons. Liz has been appointed as Deputy Governor and will continue to support the CLCGB in every way possible.
I would like to offer my sincere thanks and heartfelt gratitude to Liz for all her dedication, time and support during her tenure as Governor and for many years before that. Liz has provided outstanding leadership through some very challenging times and has had to manage some very difficult decisions. She has proven to be an extremely popular and recognisable figurehead and she will be greatly missed in this key position within our organisation.
I attended my first camp in 1976 and have fully experienced what the CLCGB can offer. I want to support all Companies in offering this to many more young people, positively influencing lives for generations to come.
I would like to end by thanking Liz once again for all of her dedication, commitment and friendship. I am proud to follow in her footsteps.
