120th Celebration of Bebbington Company
St. Andrew, Bebington Company No. 219 has recently celebrated its 120th Birthday
The Company celebrated by taking part in the all age Church Service on Sunday 3rd November 2013.
This was attended by past and current members of the Company – no founder members could be found - some of whom took part in the Service which had the theme of the Brigade badge running through it. There was also a video showing past and recent activities of the Company some of which were in the early 1900s. There was much appreciated support from members of National Headquarters, the Regiment and musicians from Litherland Company of the Liverpool Battalion.
After the Service there was a display of photographs, instruments, past records etc. in the Church Hall at which the Brigade Members were supported by many from the congregation including the new Incumbent all of whom enjoyed hot and cold refreshments.
The Company, having been enrolled on 24th October 1893, believe that they are the longest continuously running company in the Brigade having unbroken service since its formation – Unless somebody knows differently.
