Brigade Council Brings in New Senior Team

On Saturday 22nd March, Elections took place to complete a new and exciting team of Brigaders to lead CLCGB into a new phase of it’s life as it Goes for Growth.

Liz Butterfield, our recently appointed Governor, together with Darryl Hewitt our new Deputy Governor in Ulster welcomed three new Deputies to the team in the persons of Barbara Peace (Rochdale), Andrew Hayday(Durham) and MartynBedder (Leicester).

This team will be there to serve the Brigade across the constituency, but also to support our newly appointed CEO (Chief Executive Officer), Audrey Simm. Audrey will take over from Martin Lambourne in the first week in April and will not only have a new title, but also bring her own brand of drive, enthusiasm and commitment to Brigade affairs.

Martin comments: “I am delighted with the appointments we have made in the last six months. This really promises a new era in the life of the Brigade and I am confident that steered by Audrey and Liz, the Brigade will be Going Places – which is Ulster Regiment’s motto at present, and I hope foresees the future for all of us.”

Audrey is off to the North African desert with her husband, Ian, for a month so Martin will still hang around to haunt the hallowed walls of St. Martin’s House for a while. Otherwise, it’s all change with a team to take us back into the Premiership of Voluntary Youth Work!
