The CLCGB’s Act of Remembrance 2025
On Saturday, November 1st 2025, the CLCGB gathered at the National Memorial Arboretum near Lichfield. The event was held to remember and honour the fallen in past and current conflicts, as well as cherished Brigade members who passed away over the last year.
Service and Dedication
The Brigade’s National Band gave a stunning performance prior to the service, which was well-received by both members and visitors to the arboretum. The service, led by the CLCGB Staff Chaplain, Rev’d Chris Buckley, took place in the chapel and included addresses from The Rev’d Canon David Arnold, the National Band’s chaplain, and members of the National Band. A highlight of the service was the dedication of the new National Colour, with the outgoing colour being reverently put to rest.

Act of Remembrance
Following the service, the entire congregation moved to the Brigade’s memorial garden for the Act of Remembrance. This was a truly moving salute to all who have fallen in past and current conflicts, and to those Brigade members who have died in the past year. Wreaths and flowers were laid at the memorial, led by the CLCGB Governor, Andrew Hayday.

Future Remembrance
Next year’s Act of Remembrance will take place at 2.00pm on Saturday, October 31st, 2026, at the National Memorial Arboretum.
