It was an honour for the National Headquarters to host Reverend Elijah Mwangi Mbuthia of the ACK Diocese and CLCGB Regiment of Mount Kenya South. Reverend Elijah, who was visiting the UK as a guest of the former Bishop of Southwark, was accompanied by the Bishop’s wife, Barbara Butler.

The purpose of his visit was to learn more about the operations, ministry, and outreach of the ‘mother’ organisation here in the UK. During the meeting with the Governor and NHQ staff, we were also able to share insights into our badgework and engagement with children and young people.

Equally, it was a great opportunity to learn about the impressive work and significant membership of the CLCGB in Kenya across their two Diocesan Regiments of Mount Kenya South and Thika. We extended an invitation for them to join us at the CGB125 celebration, which will be held at Raywell Park from May 22-24, 2026
